Should Meg Whitman Return to Run eBay?
By: Ina Steiner
Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman was reportedly a contender for the top spot at Uber after Travis Kalanick was ousted from the ride-sharing company. Whitman currently heads Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, and tweeted that she would remain at HPE, and Uber ultimately picked another executive to head its firm.
But the rumors about her possible move to Uber along with the current brouhaha over eBay Seller Hub made us wonder what sellers would think of a change in management at eBay, and specifically what they would think of a return of the former CEO.
Looking back at Whitman's tenure from 1998 to 2008, what do you think she did well, and what did she do poorly? Could any of her management skills be useful now?
Let us know what you think of eBay's current management and if they're doing their best to attract buyers and make things easier for sellers. Do you think Whitman could fix some of the problems that eBay is currently facing? Are there any other executives you think would do a good job at eBay's helm?
