eBay Goes Down for Some Users on Monday

Reports are coming in that eBay's site is down this afternoon, though we can access it as we write this. Several reports have come in to Ecommerce EKG, including this one: 

"Whole eBay site seems to be down. Getting a "server not found" error. Tried it on my ipad, "Safari Cannot Open the Page"."

There were reports on Twitter; one user posted at 2:01 pm ET, "eBay isn't letting me purchase items, it says the network connectivity isn't working but it's perfectly fine."

And on Down Detector, reports are coming in fast and furiously.

eBay has had an intermittent problem with its search engine since Thursday. And earlier in the day today, eBay announced that its Seller Hub was now available to all US sellers.

It's not clear if this afternoon's problems are related to either of those incidents. Stay tuned!

I haven't been able to get Ebay.com all day. Chrome says "www.ebay.com’s server DNS address could not be found."

Unable to get even eBay's homepage to open. Half.com is also down.

It is down. Very frustrating. I can sometimes see my auction listings, but if I click on one, it can't find the server, so there are server issues on at least some of the ebay servers.

Why on a Monday, the busiest shipping day?  Dear God, ebay is run by idiots, and still no announcement from them, guess they can't get in either.

They were tinkering with the watch page in My eBay showing two different displays. Then randomly between displays, and/or trying to go to the second page, a red error message would appear. Yesterday when searching in one sellers store, ebay whisked my search away from the seller to another seller's item I looked at several clicks back.

It seems to me with all the manipulations and steering eBay does have finally caught up with them and crashed the site and messed up search beyond their spit, duct tape, and deny repair.

It will not be long before this happens again, but ebay will not come back up.  You will hear on Fox News that eBay closed shop leaving sellers with billions of dollars of inventory.

Like others, I thought it was my computer and browser. Cleared cache, temp files, renewed IP Address, power cycled modem and router, etc etc. Still no go with eBay. And then eBay lies about it. They can't own up to anything.

At least some of you tried to make labels or ship items. I have not had a sale in over a week, which is absolutely unheard of. Just took all items down and will repost them as new listings. I am currently in ''liquidation mode'' and no longer buying new inventory... I no longer have any faith in selling anything on eBay.

Doesn't really make any difference ebay being down,sales are about as hopeless when its down as when it isn't.
If it was a horse you'd shoot it.
