If you ran afoul of eBay in the past and got an account restriction or had your account suspended, you may find redemption. As it seeks to drum up more sellers, eBay is turning to those it once found repugnant.
The details of the reinstatement initiative are found in Thursday's Newsflash (we're still looking to learn more from eBay).
But why is eBay putting on a more forgiving face? To some, it's not a matter of why, it's a matter of why not sooner. That's because eBay rolled out changes to its Seller Performance Standards in February, admitting that the former criteria were subjective.
One of our readers asked last fall when eBay announced the new standards, "What I want to know is for those sellers that were suspended for metrics that will no longer count towards your seller performance come February 20th, be allowed to come back to sell again?"
eBay has not announced the reinstatement initiative, and some of the industry folks we spoke to on Wednesday were unaware of the program.
Let us know if you've received an overture from eBay and what you think of the program. |
