eBay is running a new television ad as part of its new global brand campaign that kicks off on Monday. We wondered what sellers would think of the ad, so please watch it (below) and let us know if you think it will succeed in driving shoppers to the site.
The ad shows "how moments of inspiration can be instantly shoppable on eBay" and features a Selena Gomez song. The refrain "When you're ready, come and get it" is repeated eight times throughout eBay's ad.
It's noteworthy that in its press release announcing the new campaign, eBay emphasizes its sellers. For example, eBay Marketplaces executive Chris Payne says, "Thanks to our sellers, eBay has one of the most extensive and interesting product catalogs in the world."
Designed to put eBay top-of-mind during the holiday season, the campaign includes television and digital ads, social outreach, and a sweepstakes in the U.S., Australia, UK, and Germany, with more markets to come in 2015.
And remember eBay's fairly new "collections"? Themed collections relating to items featured in the ads will be shared on eBay.com.
We've got more about eBay's global brand campaign in tomorrow's newsletter. For now, please watch the ad below and let us know what you think.
