Nominations Open for the Fourth Annual Sellers Choice Awards

By: Ina Steiner

Sponsored Link

EcommerceBytes has opened nominations for the fourth annual Sellers Choice Awards where online sellers rank the top marketplaces. Each year, thousands of online sellers vote for the marketplaces on which they've sold, rating them on factors such as ease of use, profitability and customer service.

And each year, we tally your votes and let you know who wins the Sellers Choice Awards.

This is your opportunity to let online marketplaces know how they're doing in a range of areas - and ecommerce marketplaces pay strict attention to the awards when they're handed out each year!

Before the polls open, we let you choose which marketplaces to include in the final voting process. Once the nominations process is complete, voting is open so sellers can name their top choice for the Sellers Choice Awards.

Each reader should nominate 5 marketplaces now to make sure they're included when the voting opens up in 2 weeks!

Visit the polls on the EcommerceBytes page on SurveyMonkey.com.

We'll review the nominations and pick the top 16 marketplaces to add to the survey. The final polls will open on January 20th so you can rate the top marketplaces. Remember, there are only 16 available slots, so not every marketplace will make the final cut!

I actually don’t nominate ANY, as all the main selling sites controls sellers and their business far too much.

All these idiotic seller rating systems that sellers are constantly battling to stay at an unrealistic 100% are just ridicules…ESPECIALLY when the item has left the seller and is in the delivery system.

So NO vote for any it’s about time Sellers were values by the companies that MAKE MONEY from them

I vote quibid, Holiday Season TV commercial count 5,267 give or take, ebay & Amazon ZERO that we saw.

Others we know of and/or list on, who cares

I am getting a little tired of looking at the quibid girl however, seems we've been married for 100 plus years as often as I have to see her.

@Agenda

Have you looked at the QuiBids site? They are really going after eBay.

And after the initial wave of ads for eBay mobile, I never saw anything more, and never saw the eBay ad for Toys R Us. I did see a bunch of Amazon ads about the "smile on the box."

The Sellers Choice Awards is for sellers to rate marketplaces on which they sell.

QuiBids is a penny auction site, aka "entertainment bidding" - sellers can't list there, and you have to pay to place a bid.

Oh dear... ''entertainment bidding'' ??

You're far too diplomatic and kind, Ina! :-)

It's ''pay-to-play'' with no guarantee of winning anything. In my opinion, it would be more accurate to describe Quibids and Beezid are **GAMBLING** sites.

==============
Sellers can/do list there but all vendors must only submit ''New Only'' and not used items.

How do you think they get the merchandise? By sellers (vendors).
I believe there is a bay seller that is also a vendor selling electronics (at a good price) there too.

Please recheck their ''About Us'' profile and contact them in order to allow ''sellers'' to recommend, if they wish. Thanks!

@iheartjacksparrow

ebay is taking itself out so I don't place much thought in to what other sites are doing to contribute. Thanks for the Smiley Face box commercial reminder, go Amazon.

@Ina

I'm sure you're aware but I was just being silly. There is no level of sanity imparted though the act of a singularly self-serving agend and although we all try, such can't even be commented on with intellect as singularly self-serving agenda doesn't consider intellect, it instead believes it's creating it.

Quibids and the other pay to bid sites are a scam. Foolishly and even though I knew better, I had money stolen from one of these sites. It wasn't Quibids but I don't trust any of these pay to bid sites due to my experience. DO NOT sign up for a so called FREE trial run. Also in trying to get my money back, the site, I believe through an email, crashed my hard drive. Happened so fast and like I said I should have known better. Feel stupid even telling anyone about this but wish I was warned. Look up reviews BEFORE entering such sites. Also you have to steer through all the shill positive reviews.

I can't vote for any of them.  Except for one small art site that I'm dealing with at the present time the rest all stink!  Bad search engines, no advertising, they just sit there and hope to rake in some money!

I'm with Patricia.

Of the multi venues I am on, I can't give any of them kudos at this time.

They're all bad; it really is a matter of the least worst or the best of the worst.

Like iheartjacksparrow, I saw many Amazon commercials.

It looks as if ebafia decided to cut their losses and not re run their sexist commercial from last year or that silly Clara Bow IT commercial.

Commercials cost money to make and air. Ebafia is about stealing money from sellers, shill bidding, and buyer extortion all of which make them money.

Given their ever increasing bad online rep, ebafia appears to be unsure whether commercials actually make them money.

They're not about spending money unless the ROI will be measurably high.

Lest we forget, ebafia and HRH The Grand Poobah Seller Advocate Griff think sellers should do all of ebafia's advertising anyway.

That ebafia still exists is testimony we haven't done nearly enough.

Lets hope the results are a bit more realistic this year.
Last year there were some wild swings up and down.
