Have You Spotted Amazon AMZL Deliveries?

in central Florida, they opened a new amazon warehouse Lakeland area, without getting into were my address is, I have had on Sunday several deliveries most thru USPS however this past Sunday we had one delivered by Penske truck and a amazon employee I live approx. 10 miles from the new center and in the country, so it was a surprise to me to see this. I like amazon it is efficient. one would think that no one would be able to make the post office a government agency work on Sunday!! that shows you were they stand with ecommerce ebay could never pull that one off they are too dysfunctional and dishonest

I personally don't care who it is that delivers my amazon orders as long as they get to me.  I have more important things to worry about, like is the post office delivering my packages to the wrong address.

But I keep getting my eBay purchases from Amazon fulfillment.

We had a Penske truck deliver a package on Sunday also. (eBay purchase in an Amazon box)

I think smart eBay sellers are using Amazon for FREE shipping.

Bezos has to be loving it, NOT!

I live too far for this kind of service (East Coast Rural)  BUT in the past week I was emailed to ask::: Did I want my recent Amazon purchase to be DELIVERED BY UPS rather than being delivered TO the PO by UPS--and then I could PAY for the privelage ($3.50)  to DO so--

Um---no;  not a real issue for this package.  

They are also offering a FREE PRIME 30-Day membership which I have marked on my calendar to CANCEL but it was useful for this and possibly a few other things.  NOT willing to pay $99 for something I would not get that amount of USE out of.

I also noticed something  that WAS disturbing to me--parcels in the distinct AMAZON box left sitting out in the open on porches around here---no attempt was made to place these where they would NOT be easily seen and grabbed--I would suspect that this WAS a UPS delivery due to the size etc --but what an inducement to THEFT!  

Since we DO live in a rural area many people copmmute to work thus leaving their homes for many hours;  the PO is only open for a short time weekdays and for about 2 hours on Saturday---so actually SIGNING for a parcel is sometimes almost impossible and the UPS depot is 30 miles from here and is open about an hour a week.  

If I was someone who often ordered from these companies I would see about getting a large parcel box with a code entry.

I think your ebay purchases are being bought on amazon and drop shipped by the seller on ebay by means of purchasing thru amazon to you as a user, would not surprise me one bit. as ebay collapses and suppliers shut off ebay sellers this will become common practice to drop ship via amazon

The eBay seller had the same ID on Amazon.

The item came marked as a "Gift"

I suspect the seller had the item on both eBay & Amazon and when they got a sale from either site it was shipped from Amazon fulfillment. That seller gets a free shipments just for belonging to Amazon Prime.

Pretty smart if you ask me!

I often fulfill eBay orders via Amazon FBA if I have the item in Amazon's warehouse.

Amazon will put such orders in a plain unmarked box if you wish, but I keep all such orders in the Amazon box just for the fun of it.

My AMZL delivery today(7-10-15) came around 5pm by a drone. NO, JUST JOKING. A sub-contractor in a his own van. He said and he picks up pkgs at an Amazon warehouse in philadelphia. After conversing more he mentioned another warehouse location would soon be opening in new jersey. He said this 'amazon' delivery thing is just excess as there is MUCH of it and he is not the only sub-contractor doing this. Still many packages go out thru all the known carriers and this is just inplace to keep the increased load moving. I commend Amazon for implementing this proactive solution.

I just received a delivery from Amazon Logistics. After reading many of the posts here, I was very nervous about whether or not I would actually receive my package. It arrived on time however it was delivered to the wrong address. Thankfully I know my neighbors pretty well and they brought my package to me. They said that a girl in an SUV came by and left it on the edge of the walkway. So I have mixed opinions. Are the couriers not supposed to have knowledge of a certain area or at least a GPS? I'm in South Florida. We'll see what happens with future AMZN deliveries.

I wasn't home for delivery and AMZL delivered my package to a resident and no one seems to have it. I have asked all my neighbors. Unbelievable!

Wondering if anyone knows where the pick up and drop off location for Amazon drivers is located in Los Angeles.  We have notified police, that an Amazon Employee actually stole our very expensive puppy. We have a partial recording of what transpired, tracking number and police report. So far, Amazon is slow to help. Can anyone help??

I live in the close in suburbs of DC (inside the beltway). My experience with AMZL_US is odd, but they get my packages to me.  I had a guy knock and wait for me to answer, but I am usually not home.  Even when I am they are usually as stealthy as other delivery guys, they may knock, most don't, but they don't wait for me to answer.  Honestly, other than it showing up when it shows up I haven't had problems with AMZL_US.  They are doing as well as USPS which is pretty darned good.  Their tracking is not like UPS tracking, but with Amazon Prime my packages usually come one or two days after order.  Tracking isn't a big deal until the package comes later than expected.

South Florida/Plantation. I noticed this delivery service on Amazon mainly because I am surprised to see 'out for delivery' on a Sunday! 2 items being delivered together. Makes me nervous they are not going through a reputable carrier.

San Francisco environs: AMZL deliveries terrible so far. One package dropped off on public sidewalk, not even walked to porch. Another package showed ''out for delivery'' as of 7am. Waited all day for delivery then left home in early evening. Got back to check package tracking that now showed ''delivered'' package was ''handed to RESIDENT''. But impossible as no residents were home at alleged delivery time. Investigation showed driver did not obtain any signature from so-called Resident. No neighbors or workmen on street saw any attempt at delivery or delivery vehicle at that time. No one had seen a package. Either driver fraud, negligence by handing package to passing stranger, or pkg delivered to wrong address. We never had this problem with prior Amazon modes of delivery. Also, Amazon does not provide ability for customer to provide adequate delivery instructions. Amazon needs to add text field for a few words of clarification. For example, selecting ''garage'' radio button could mean just leaving pkg in front of garage near open street. Amazon should allow words ''mail slot'' to specify placing package inside the garage mail slot. This seems obvious, but as AMZL drivers are leaving packages on public sidewalk, guess it's not. Same with selecting ''Front Porch''. Need text field for customer to add words ''under mat'' or ''behind planter'' or ''in mail box'', etc. Finally, recommend Amazon requires a signature before handing over a package to someone. Or, if customer OKs delivery without signature, then Amazon should place package in as secure a location as possible within the property or at least in the mailbox if it fits. Just common sense! Amazon, please provide a brief text field for customer to write simple delivery preferences (within reason).

I live in Staten Island, NY. The package was originally scheduled for 5/28/16 delivery but I received a text (no email) that it was rescheduled for 5/27/16 by 8 PM. I then received another text (no email) before 8 PM that the package was left on the back porch, which it was, but I have a dog and there was definitely no door knock or bell ring, so I didn't see what type of vehicle they were driving. There was a tracking number in the email, but Googling it produced no results.

A few days ago I had a man show up at my door without I'd in his personal vehicle deliver a $400 bracelet from Amazon. It felt creepy. I was expecting 2 watches @ $500 to be delivered today via AZML. According to tracking it said it was delivered so I contacted Amazon and was told that it was delivered to another address! Rep said that if they couldn't have it resolved today, it would get done soon. My reply was ''I've spent thousands AND thousands of $'s at Amazon, so I either get it today or I close my acct.'' I've never had a problem with Amazon. I also said in future I want my orders to be delivered either ups or usps. I offered to drive to address where it was supposedly delivered to pick it up, but was told that they don't have that info.!!!!!

I live in Austin, Texas and Amazon is opening a warehouse  in San Marcos. They are testing out their delivery service and it is a disaster. I am ready to explode.

I took a promotion on Friday and deliberately requested standard delivery so as to get it during the business week.

Amazon changed my ordered and shipped my package arriving Sunday, exactly what I do not want.

I had to change my plans and wait all day for the delivery. They are using AMZL.

it is going on 9:30 p.m. and my package has been delayed.

Amazon is hiring drivers off the street for this AMZL service, just like delivering Chinese Food or Pizza.

It is very unprofessional and lots of consumers are having the same problem as me.

I am thinking of reporting them to the BBB.

I just had my Amazon package delivered by AMZL and they were about twelve hours earlier then to be expected. Very professional and courteous. He even wait a few minutes for me to answer the door. Unlike the other couriers who just leave a "we missed you" note on the door. Very happy with the service.
