What Are the Funniest Seller Photos You've Seen?
By: Julia Wilkinson
Let's just have some fun this weekend. I don't want to pick on anyone, but I went to list a new lipstick and checked some comp listings on the marketplace beforehand. One that came up was so hilarious, I just had to share it in a private Facebook group I'm in.
At first it looked like a listing for office equipment; there was a large printer in the foreground. In the background you could see a desk, which had a headset on it.OK, so where's the lipstick? ("Where's the chapstick?" as the Youtube girl would say...25,805,131 views and counting).
Well, it was there, in front of the printer. Just a little hard to see. It made me think of some other bad photos I've seen on online marketplaces (I'm sure I've posted my share back in the day, though hopefully nothing that bad...lol). And wonder what other bad photos you've seen.
So today, share the worst or funniest photo you've seen or remember seeing. Describing it is fine. I suppose it would be too mean to post a link to someone's listing. (I also wonder if some of the photo weirdness is due to eBay's latest photo requirements, which were announced in the Fall Seller Update? (Photos must be at least 500 pixels on the longest side of the picture. If a seller uploads a photo of a large-enough ize, but cropping it will make it too small for the requirement, they may wind up with a picture with too many distractions around it).
One genre of bad photos: unintentional (?) "reflecto-art." There is a list online of the most outrageous eBay "reflectoporn" photos, but I think I'll let you find it on your own, if you are so inclined.
