Another Diamond PowerSeller Sighting in eBay's Tool Category?

A source told us that Toolup.com is now selling on eBay as part of the Special Diamond PowerSeller program. As with Shoplet, also rumored to be in the Diamond P/S program, Toolup began listing recently. But unlike Shoplet, Toolup is offering free shipping.

A check of eBay on Tuesday revealed 1,599 Toolup listings for sale. Toolup received its first feedback on October 7th for an item listed on September 30, 2008, and it has received a total of 202 positive feedback ratings since then and maintains high Detailed Seller Ratings.

Our source tells us that ChannelAdvisor is bringing on Diamond PowerSellers and handling 100 percent of the customer service for the first 30 - 60 days, at no charge beyond the flat commission it charges on sales; eBay reportedly gives Diamonds free listings and very reduced FVFs, negotiated one-on one - somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 - 9 percent in the case of Special Diamond PowerSellers.

Buy.com, a confirmed DPS, is in the media category. Shoplet, unconfirmed, is in office supplies, Toolup is in tools. Another on the list of unconfirmed DPS coming soon is in the computers & electronics category, while another is in what I'd call the Department Store category (bedding, jewelry, apparel, home, fragrances, shoes, etc.).

Good 'ol channel advisor. The death trap is now set for ebay. So which marketing guru added the male enhancement supplement ads to the site that's getting everyone so upset? Is Scott bringing vitamin suppliers to the site too? How about dog food? I can get tools from Home depot. At least I have one a few miles away. Gas is cheaper now so I can drive there.

ChannelAdvisor and eBay.  Match made in hell!  No doubt Wingo and CA will screw things up even worse on eBay.  If CA is handling customer support for ToolUp then they are doomed. CA support is the worst.

So, Scot at ChannelAdvisor is a traitor to his own sellers?

He is the one enabling these Diamonds to destroy the marketplace?

Maybe sell-out is a better description of what Wingo is doing. MANY of his top sellers have been severely hurt by Buy.com and many more will unless current Channel Advisor customers make their feelings known.

Shame on you Scot!

Time to face up to the fact the we are in the end run here. Ebay will bring in major -mega sellers one by one in every category they can in order to make the place a retail hub.  The only area left that will bear any resemblence to the real ebay will be the antiques and collectables. They did try to push us out when they bought that failed auction house and again with live auctions which are a joke.

By misrepresenting & manipulating the feedback system for the diamond level sellers you are deceiving the consumers. I'm just going to load up on FTC complaints as a BUYER for all the diamonds and encourage everyone to do the same. That's false and deceptive advertising. Every bad thing you've ever done, if I can file as a BUYER, then it'll get through a heck of a lot deeper than as a merchant. Fixing those DSRs directly impacts the core of the trust system on ebay.

Watch out for another DPS in the making. ID: MonsterCellular

Terapeak shows they're doing over 500K per month and DSR stars are very good considering their category.
