eBay Search Issues

By: Ina Steiner

eBay is having issues with search today. "Members may be experiencing errors or slowness while searching for items. You can continue to find items by browsing categories. We're aware of this issue and are working to fix it as quickly as possible," according to a post on eBay's System Announcement Board posted at 10:52AM PST.

A friend called me to say he was searching for items this morning and there were about 280 of them, search went down for 20 minutes, and now when he does the same search, there are only 12 of the same items.

Anyone else having problems?

Search results were flaking out again just like how it was the other day when I couldn't access general search for 2 hours. I wrote to ebay and you know, it's totally not worth emailing them. Because they just treat you like you're an ignorant. They want to tell us about how efficient we need to be, meanwhile they have customer service reps who can't even read english to answer a simple question

I've seen alot of issues with search this year like no other.

Store search , item search of every kind across the site.

Compounded with the changes to UK  USA search and the tinkering with advertising banners , removal of keywords banners ,and changes to how store items are displayed. eBay is not helping sellers

Chairman,

You just hit the nail on the head.  Ebay does not WANT to help you.  They could not possibly care less about you.  Why?  Because, as we have said before, no matter what ebay does, you'll always come back to them.
