eBay sellers have been asking whether the company's ban on the extension of auctions applies to fixed-price listings, since the policy specifically referenced "auctions." In response to AuctionBytes' inquiry, eBay spokesperson Hani Durzy said in an email on Tuesday, "To clarify, the ban on auction extenders does also apply to fixed price listings."

Last month, eBay had changed its "Circumventing Fees" policy to prohibit the extension of auction duration, both manually and through the use of automatic tools.
