eBay Live Opens Conference Registration

eBay has opened registration for the eBay Live 2007 conference. The sixth annual gathering takes place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center June 14-16 in Boston, Massachusetts. Here's the lowdown:

Early registration costs $60 through April 6. From April 7 through May 25, registration is $75 and from May 26 through June 16, registration is $100. The registration fee includes classes, parties and keynote speeches throughout the three-day event. The conference is open to everyone 18 and over. Childcare and Teen Camp will also be available each day for attendees under 18 years old.

For the first time, eBay will offer a Priority Pass option to the first 750 people who register. For an additional $150, attendees can enjoy priority seating, a special conference tote bag, and lunch with eBay executives, among other benefits.

Register online.

You are on your own for Hotels, which are expensive! eBay links to Expedia, but it is difficult to know where to stay. The last time I checked directly with the two hotels near the convention center, the Seaport Hotel was sold out, and the Westin Boston Waterfront had rooms for $500/night (gulp).

Don't get confused, btw. The event takes place at the NEW convention center (BCEC), not at the Hynes.

This will probably be a very interesting eBay Live. I wonder if the eBay Store employees have their flame proof suits ready.

Boston has excellent public transportation with the T, MBTA subway and busses.  You can stay in Quincy, adjacent to Boston, or Braintree, a 30 minute car ride away, Somerville, or other areas.  Hotels in Boston are very expensive and Cambridge is also a dear price.  The South Boston waterfront, where the new convention center is located, is a revitalized area with many
excellent restaurants.  Boston is a great city for walking.  Also, you can fly into either Providence, Rhode Island, about 45 minutes away, or Manchester, New Hampshire, about an hour away, all depending upon traffic.

I found hotel rooms for less than $199 only 6 miles from the Convention hall, Boston Quincy Marriott...Boston's T system can get you into the city for only $1.75 each way...seems like no brainer for the hotel prices
