Other Stories are worth reading

Every day when I go scouting for news about the online auction industry to write up for the daily AuctionBytes Newsflash newsletter, I come across great articles written by others. A few times a week I publish a compilation of these stories with links, known as, "AuctionBytes Newsflash: Other Online Auction Industry News."

Two stories in Monday's news roundup demonstrate why you should peruse them (link): The Mercury News wrote about the legal liability of leaving negative feedback, and the Washington Post wrote about a security hole in eBay Enhanced Picture Services (fixed). Hopefully readers find the Other Stories feature as helpful and interesting as I do!

Ina, read the story about feedback, and found it quite interesting. It appears that if you answer negative feeback in an emotional manner- that is where you can get in trouble. Also if you have a dialogue with someone who is or has left you a negative..... that I won't do. The less communication at that point after ''threats are made- the less I want to communicate.  BTW- I think an interesting feature in the future- ala- first ebay experience- might be the worst negative feedback left by you.  I will go with-  'Worst ebay transaction I have ever been involved in.'

To end- the judge dropped the case- so all ended well. but i always tell new seller be careful what you say. It can come back to haunt you.
