eBay: Do What I Say, Not What I Do

By: Ina Steiner

eBay has shut down auctions for sellers who say they accept BidPay and cash (link).

As reader RJ wrote me today, "as ever, it's too funny to see how eBay can't keep their own house in order." He was talking about a page on the eBay site that explains what methods of payments can be used on eBay. Yes, the eBay site still says BidPay and cash are acceptable (link).

Methinks eBay owes some sellers an apology and money for taking down those auctions. Tsk, tsk.

PS: Just noticed that eBay page also says sellers may use wire-transfer services!

PPS: Here's a screenshot.
