Useful Tools for Nerds & Geeks

By: Ina Steiner

I've seen a lot of articles by reporters & bloggers taking a look back at 2005 and predicting what the year 2006 will bring (btw, one of the funniest is here by Blake Ross, one of the creators of FireFox - link).

I'm even working on a 2005 look-back myself. But a truly useful and interesting list can be found today on TechCrunch (link). It's a list of useful tools. I use Bloglines on a regular basis (about 5 times a day!), and have used FlikR, Yahoo Maps, Feedburner and Technorati on occasion.

But I guess I flunk the geek test, not having used all of them. Note that eBay's Skype made the list. TechCrunch is a good blog, BTW.
