XBox 360 on eBay

So when eBay's CEO said 40,000 XBox 360 Consoles were sold on eBay (see this story), did she really mean 40,000 XBox 360 consoles and boxes (see this story).

The same type of fraud occured on eBay when PlayStation2s came out in 2001 (see this story):

When an eBay seller listed an auction item as "Playstation 2 Original Box And Receipt," an unfortunate bidder discovered he had purchased an empty box for $425.

The bad apples (crooks and scammers) make it so hard for the honest, hard-working sellers. I believe education is a big part of the answer. Here's a link to AuctionBytes Fraud Resource Center.
