6-Hour Wait Times to Get eBay Payments Support

Thats typical ebay. Obfuscate, or, try to answer a different question than what is being asked.

I dont know what goes on behind the scenes over there but it must be funny. Probably a lot funnier than "what pandemic". If I could just be a fly on the wall, my cheeks would probably hurt from laughing so much.

WHO WAS IT ON HERE THAT DID THE "DEVIN WENIG "I'M A SMART GUY TALK / LANGUAGE, listen to my speech I'M SMART"? We can really use some of that now.

We signed up, it didn't go well as expected.

We'll see how it works out, if it's a fail all items will be moved to our other ID's until they've all fallen to MP.

My problem right now is slow sales, we need to get people flying again. . . .

So...I open a new account at a new bank just for MP. I sign in on eBay.
Wha, wha...we can't verify.
So...I reluctantly give them my bank's info. Then I change my pasword.
Wha, wha...we need a bank statement.
So...I upload a jpg of one with ALL required info.
Yesterday, my Seller Hub says "Great! You're signed up. We'll notify you when you're in."
Today..."You need to update your bank account."
NOTHING pertaining to the jpg I sent.
This is NOT a process. A process makes sense. This a bad joke.

OMG, to my surprise, they did call me back today. Same person i spoke to yesterday. She called back and asked me if I had a chance to upload a bank statement.  I said I did, last Thursday, I told you that yesterday. She said thats no good. i said well you didnt say that yesterday. She said can you upload another bank statement. I said why they are all formatted the same. WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU NEED? WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU NEED? She said i dont know, let me find out...put me on hold (for the 4th time).

She was very nice, but not at all helpful. Why is she handling the call if she cannot help? I just  hung up as I had another phone call coming in. I guess this could possibly be the end of me selling on ebay. I dont know what they want, and THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY WANT. This whole things stinks of sabotage. You couldnt make this to implode any better than they have. It almost seems intentional, and my be for some reason.

Apparently i did not see it. Because now she is saying that they never got the bank statement. This why why I called in the first place. I upload the bank statement and nothing happens. the page stays the same, it lists the file, and underneath replace file and thats it. No other prompts, no other information....thats it.

Refresh the page and it goes back like before...no uploaded document and the cycle goes over and over the same. Same on another computer / browser? What a damn mess. And Jesus, seems like I didnt even get to fist base on this thing. Probably just a whole load of confusion mess ahead! Now I see why they were breaking everyone's hump to do it early. CUZ IT'S ALL SCREWED UP!

WOW.  Shadenfreude is really starting to KICK IN for me.  I have every intention of IGNORING this FOOLISHNESS for as LOOOOOOOOOONG as possible.
Can anyone wrap their head around how they honestly thought that THIS CLUSTER**** was going to be their salvation?
How long before they drop a dime to call PayPal and go ahead and NEGOTIATE an acceptable agreement so that BOTH companies can co-exist in PEACE?
Shadenfreude?  Go to Google translate and enter this GERMAN word for transition to ENGLISH.  Be prepared to SMILE if the word isn't already in your vocabulary.  Sorta as interesting as Zeitgeist.

I click on my bank's logo INSIDE YOUR SITE.
I use the sign-up screen for my bank that YOU provide.
YOU CORRECTLY then show me the last 4 digits of my account number in a pop-up.
I click that pop-up.
YOU then display this message:
"WE can’t verify the info you provided, please review."

No, sweetie. YOU review YOUR process.

Be sure to change your bank password AFTER uploading any documents to ebay. Since, they are requiring many sellers to sign in to their bank accounts while in ebay.

I'm not doing anything to move to managed payments and just waiting to see what happens. I thank everyone who jumped through the hoops showing me what a waste of time it is. I'd like to keep my account if it's worth it, we'll see.

I am so aggravated with this. Jump through the hoops. The hoops are wrapped with shrink wrap so you cant jump through, however the is still pointing you to it (its like the bird flying into the glass door).

Figures, this was Wenig's thing. He was too busy leading a team to go after Ina, instead of focusing on making this steaming pile of dung he had work. The new CEO must be banging his head against the wall right now. I actually feel bad for him.

"The payments entity may, in its sole discretion, manage payments on your behalf even if you haven't provided all requested information, and the payments entity may withhold payouts pending receipt of such information."

ebay's favorite weasel word..."may".

This is what I was saying before. They will kick to the can your paypal, collect your sales, and hold it until your in managed payments.

Like I said previously "the moment that happens I will be in vacation mode on ebay quicker than I can hit the enter button"

I have done everything that they wanted, I cant keep chasing them around. I mean for Gods sake, I ask them a question, and they give an answer to a question I didnt even ask. They tell me upload a bank statement, I told them I did. "OK we will call you tomorrow when we get to the bottom of this" SAME PERSON calls back the next day and asks "So, did you get a change to upload a bank document?" So I have to go thru the same story AGAIN!

Listen, I uploaded the document, nothing happens, it has the name of the document on the page, then nothing, refresh the page it disappears (now says nothing uploaded yet). Different computer, different browsers, restart computer...same thing.

OK "hold on, let me see what I can find out"...comes back on the line, "Oh that document is no good. Can you upload another one"

I said another one what WHAT INFO DO YOU NEED? ALL OF THE STATEMENTS HAVE THE SAME INFO!!! HELLO!

She says ok, hold on.......Gets back on the line..."Oh we never got any bank statements from you, there was nothing there.

REALLY? I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU THIS FROM THE START. She then says "hold on I will try and find out whats wrong"
I said I am expecting an important phone call and cant hold any more, can you call me back when you have figured out what planet you were born on?

I wont be back to work till tuesday.she said...and put me on hold...and I got the other phone call and hung up.

This is like a sick joke. Like I'm on candid camera or something. I really have never experienced such "I dont even know what to call it" in my entire life.

I bet if it ever comes to going on vaca mode. And I yank all my money out of paypal, and they cant collect on the monthly bill thru paypal, we will see how fast that bank acct number gets approved, or not and they yank the money out of that account any way.

Much of this is related to KYC (Know Your Customer) banking laws as it relates to international money transfers, etc. I would certainly bet ebay is not driving this as they would certainly not have the internal expertise (maybe some consultants for the time being)....but rather Ayden is outlining the process and implementation, etc. Ebay is just doing the grunt work per their instructions.
That said it is turning into a catastrophe wrapped in a calamity. The call center thing is an absolute joke. I've grabbed the popcorn as this could toast the entire company if it doesn't roll out correctly.

@toolguy...funny that it took a pandemic to get you to complain about sales. LOL I'm just joshing ya because you're always saying how well you do on eBay. It must be nice to sell something that's in such demand that only shutting down the world would effect your sales.

At which time you cancel the sale, refund the buyer's money, and end all of your remaining eBay listings

With no exceptions, my longstanding policy has been that the merchandise does not ship until the buyer's payment is in my account.

I wonder if eBay is close to just having Ayden issue sellers an Adyen Debit Card until it can pull it's head from it's butt?
