This is funny, “Etsy is trying to boost Sales”, AGAIN, how many times have they “Been Trying” to boost sales?, Sales for who, Us or them, are they not making the money they expected, by trying to charge the sellers fees to be seen on Google. With all the questionable tatics they are trying to do to helps sales for us, they should have been putting our money, our spent fees into Advertising.
Ebay has commericals, they show up on google, WHY doesn’t Etsy?, Etsy cut those advertising fees a long time ago, thinking they could make their money from “fees”, to please the stock holders., whats the matter not working for ya?
Etsy is a Ruthless, Greedy, could careless company, and treat their sellers like dirt! They forget we are the millions of shops that put them on the map, made them their fortune.
I am totally disgusted with Etsys “New Approach” to help the sellers., They have never helped the sellers, its all about the bottom dollar and how they can help themselves, at out expense. Etsy was once a wonderful place to sell and shop, Now its all about the China business that their focusing on, Pushed the Handmade and Vintage right out. You cant even have a 50% off sale and make money, WHY?, because NO ONE SEES US!!!!!!!!!
DONT BE FOOLED PEOPLE – ETSY IS NO LONGER A HANDMADE OR VINTAGE PLACE TO SELL OR BUY. Its all mass produced, cheap garbage from China!!!! DONT BUY FROM ETSY, STAY AWAY!
Visit other sites, like POSHMARK to sell your Vintage clothing, I did and I have made more money their in the last month, then 4 months on Etsy!! POSHMARK, does it right, they know what their doing!!! They offer all items, single or bundle to every customer for one price $6.49, They ship all items priority mail!, no matter where it goes and they promote your shop, something Etsy did away with. I love Poshmark and am making money on their site.
Etys, Ha!, what a joke they have become to the world…They disgust me!!!!
Though we don’t have a lot of experience on Etsy since we started just a while ago, I gotta say you sound like a zealot who has a very personal axe to grind with Etsy. All I sense from you is seething anger, which is rarely a convincing way to argue a point.
I know from lots of searching on Etsy that there are loads of honest, hard-working sellers who hand-craft their wares such as various sewn items, ceramics, wooden items such as cutting boards & furniture, jewelry and much more. I’m talking about American sellers. And, yes, there are foreign high-volume sellers which are pretty easy to identify and avoid, as we’ve often done.
My wife is now selling her handmade sewn items on Etsy. She’s an American, and doesn’t sell “cheap garbage from China”. You can express your dissatisfaction with Etsy without trashing thousands of reputable sellers. Try cooling down and taking a breath before your next post – please.
