10-Year Anniversary Celebration
Meg and Pierre celebrated eBay's 10-year anniversary Saturday evening at the Santa Clara
Convention Center. After ceremoniously cutting a large sheet cake, they hugged to
celebrate what has been a successful partnership.

eBay Founder Reminisces at Fireside
Chat
Pierre Omidyar sat down for a fireside chat to reminisce about his experience
in founding eBay. He was joined by Jeff Skoll, eBay's first President, and Jim
"Griff" Griffith, eBay's ambassador, who moderated the session. The chat was
part of the eBay Live convention taking place in San Jose this week.
Thriller: eBay sends 18,000
to Great America Amusement Park
I never thought I'd be sitting next to Marie Senese (eBay ID:
JayandMarie), both of us screaming as the wooden roller coaster hurtled us around corner
after corner. We were on the Grizzly at Paramount's Great America Amusement Park for the
eBay and PayPal Community BBQ, where attendance Friday night would reach 18,000 eBayers
including eBay employees and families.

Friday evening at the Paramount Great America Amusement Park. The
Paramount Pavilion (renamed PESA Community Pavilion for this event) is packed with eBay
community members from around the world. Free BBQ food is at one end, the auction stage
for the upcoming live auction at the other. The silent auction already underway is getting
quite a lot of attention.
