Summary:
Blujay received good marks for Ease of Use, but rated below average in Customer Service, Communication and Profitability. Typical comments focused on positives such as free listings, intuitive listing template and navigation, and a helpful community - but those responses were tempered by comments citing weak sales, and a lack of presence by the owner/manager. Blujay was rated tenth out of fifteen as a recommended selling venue.

Reader Comments - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly:
Blujay is set up on a WONDERFUL and easy to use platform, it reminds me of the way eBay was when they used to be fun. Allows HTML, such as image tags, font, etc. and it looks as if they have made many improvements, even to the community boards. I love Blujay and with every other eBay alternative you have to market/self-promote yourself which is easy.
***
We come together as a community to provide customer service and in my opinion our forums are the best place to go for help of any kind.
***
The other sellers are very friendly and helpful in the message boards. Worth listing on here for sure! Nice store set up too. I got a lot of hits on my items from google as well.
***
We have an excellent email system that provides and alerts us with sales invoices... have never had a problem getting prospective sales emails.
***
It is easy to list and it is free. You do have to drive traffic to your store, but on the other hand you don't have to deal with constantly changing policies and rules
***
I have never received an answer to an email sent to support at Blujay however the few problems or issues I have emailed about were taken care of - without any communication. The site however is very simple to use and not many problems that someone in the community can not help with arise.
***
Blujay could have blown the socks off all others if the owner would have been more hands on. I still have a couple hundred items listed, but very few sales. Ease of use is beyond a score of 10!
***
I love the ease of use that Blujay has, it just seems there is no traffic. I have only had maybe 2 sales in 2 years. I would love to see them come up in the world some. I do like it very much.
***
While Blujay does not draw a lot of traffic in my category, being 100% free, I park basic inventory items there. Setting the listings to auto renew makes it easy to maintain a presence there. I do catch a few occasional sales, and with no fees, the profit is higher than other fee based sites.
***
after two years only one sale. no noticeable help in promoting from blujay, not the easiest form for filling out, but not the most difficult. if blujay were to do more to help sellers promote their items it could be very good, but there will need to be some major changes before I try it again
***
They don't place your products forward in searches for very long and their invoicing/customer communication system is way too basic.
***
Sales sparse, little buyer awareness globally, restricted options as a global seller
***
Although a free selling site, owners are absent, frequent google site problems. Few sales in almost a year.
***
very low traffic Bluejay does not respond respond to customers questions. Very little help with anything
***
This site has so much potential. The owners are AWOL though and the help is only found on the forums which can be toxic.
