Online payment service Dwolla announced that the WooCommerce and PrestaShop plug-ins are now available, allowing more online merchants to add Dwolla to their stores. WooCommerce offers a live plug-in that can be used on WordPress 3.2+ stores and charges $50 for the extension. The PrestaShop module, created by Carolina Custom Designs, is compatible with PrestaShop v1.4.2.5 - v1.4.7 and is ready for download for 82.22 euros.

A developer commenting on the announcement recommended Dwolla develop plugins itself rather than rely on third-party developers who then charge merchants for the integration.

Dwolla itself charges considerably less than most online payment services - just 25 cents per transaction, and transactions under $10 are free.

Dwolla also has existing payment plugins and modules for Shopify, Shopp, Magento, osCommerce and creLoaded, more information is available on the Carts page. Dwolla said developers interested in creating a Dwolla plug-in, app integration, or software solution can learn more at Dwolla.com/dev.
