PayPal will be presenting a session at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas on Tuesday called, "Why a Mobile Wallet Isn't Going to Be Enough." PayPal Vice President of Global Product & Experience Sam Shrauger will explain why PayPal thinks its mobile payments solution is more compelling than other services, that according to Shrauger, simply bring the physical wallet onto the mobile platform.

For example, he explains, PayPal is the only wallet that will offer a 5-7 day grace period for consumers to change their minds. "Buy something in a store, take it home and decide later how you want to pay for it."

According to PayPal's SXSW presentation description, "More than $3,500 transacts over the PayPal network every second. As the leader in digital payments, PayPal predicts that we will be able to live our lives digitally by 2015 - choose this session to find out how."

PayPal will also hold an event in San Francisco this week to "unveil what's in store for small businesses." The event takes place on the morning of March 15, 2012, and is by invitation only.
