eBay's marketing agency True Action Network announced key new hires and added a number of big brands to its client roster. True Action Network is a full-service ecommerce and digital marketing agency and is a wholly owned subsidiary of eBay Inc.'s GSI Commerce.

eBay has been leveraging GSI Commerce to bring top brands to the eBay Marketplaces - thirteen of GSI's 500 brands are already on the eBay platform, and eBay continues to work on its technology and features before implementing its plan to rapidly expand additional large merchants on the platform.

Among the brands True Action Network added in 2011 were Sony, Dollar General Stores and Haggar, and GNC; other TAN clients include Mattel, ToysRUs, Adidas, Aeropostale, Timberland, Calvin Klein, Skullcandy and Levi's.

True Action Network also appointed Billy Seabrook Chief Creative Officer for True Action Network, North America. He was previously the Executive Creative Officer for Digitas, where he led the creative efforts for brands such as Cadillac, American Express, Kraft, Delta Airlines, Mead Johnson, Samsung, Starburst and Post Cereals.

Other hires last year include John Sheldon, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Planning (Bartle Bogle & Hegarty, Ogilvy); and Jeffrey Wilks, Senior Vice President of Marketing (Gannett, Enfatico, Ogilvy).

Marc Fleishhacker, Managing Director of True Action Network, North America, said in the company's press announcement, "With this new team, we'll be able to provide our clients with great insights, highly performing creative and truly measurable results."

Reuben Hendell, CEO of GSI's Global Agency Services, said, "The leadership team that has been assembled in 2011 really sets us up for a great 2012. We will be able to drive profitability and sustainable consumer actions for our clients to enable them to achieve their goals and success metrics."
