While new members rose 71% in September, the number of new items listed was again down year-over-year, falling by 8.6%. Higher new-member growth compared to the number of new items listed is not necessarily a negative indicator, since it indicates Etsy could be attracting more new buyers than sellers, but the fact that the number of new items listed was down in absolute numbers from last year could be of concern. |

Etsy exceeded over 1 billion page views in the month of September for the first time. Etsy sellers sold $46.4 million of goods, up 1.3% from August and up 74% from September 2010. Unit sales of Etsy merchants were up 58% year-over-year, indicating a higher average selling price.
