Amazon introduced a new tablet that has been compared by the media to Apple's iPad. But according to Bloomberg, which was covering the live press conference, Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos says it is not a tablet, but rather, is a service.

The new "Fire" is priced at a $199 but lacks some of the features of higher-priced tablets such as the iPad and the Samsung Tab currently on the market - the Fire has no camera or mic.

Kenneth Corbin will fill us in on all the details of the new device from Amazon.com later, in the meantime, leave a comment on the EcommerceBytes Blog.
