Similar to Groupon, AmazonLocal offers savings of at least 50 percent off products and services at local restaurants, spas and events. AmazonLocal.com members can purchase deals using their Amazon account. AmazonLocal sources its daily deals through two channels: a strategic relationship with LivingSocial, and directly by AmazonLocal. In addition, Amazon said AmazonLocal will offer deals from Amazon-affiliated websites, including Amazon.com, MYHABIT.com and endless.com. One deal scheduled to be offered gives members the chance spend $50 on jewelry and watches at Amazon.com by paying $25 through AmazonLocal. AmazonLocal first launched in Boise in June. |
