The company issued a press release claiming that sellers using its Facebook storefront app see their first sale come less than three days after launching their store on Facebook, and attributed the short window to social promotion and discovery features that enable sellers to attract new shoppers to their storefronts within and beyond their fan base. Many ecommerce solutions designed for Facebook take visitors back to the merchant's own website or marketplace listing to complete checkout, but Payvment uses PayPal Adaptive Payments to allow shoppers to buy goods on the merchant's page without leaving Facebook. In addition to promotional tools, Payvment also integrates conversation into the shopping experience, allowing shoppers to interact directly with sellers and other shoppers and discuss products. Payvment also has a Shopping Mall on Facebook, which offers a "see what your friends like" feature. The Shopping Mall has over two million searchable products that can be viewed by Facebook's 750 million users. |
