Etsy Sales up 77% in March, But New Items Listed Falls

Etsy shoppers bought $39.7 million worth of goods on the site in March, up 77% year-over-year. Unit sales and the number of new members joining the site were up 60%, while page views were up 51% year-over-year. The number of new items listed was down 4% year-over-year but was 12% higher than February 2011.
