PC Mall, not uBid, Buys eCOST.com for $2.3 Million

PFSweb sold certain assets of eCOST.com to PC Mall for $2.3 million. PFSweb develops and deploys comprehensive end-to-end ecommerce solutions for Fortune 1000 and brand name companies. Rumors had been circulating recently that it would sell its eCost unit to uBid.com.
eCOST.com is a multi-category online discount retailer of new, "close-out" and manufacturer re-certified brand-name merchandise for consumers and small to medium size business buyers. The eCOST.com brand markets approximately 260,000 different products from leading manufacturers such as Sony, Hewlett-Packard, Denon, JVC, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Toshiba, Microsoft, Garmin, Braun, Sharp, Cuisinart, Bissell and Hoover primarily over the Internet and through direct marketing.
PC Mall brands include: PC Mall Gov, Sarcom, MacMall, Abreon, NSPI and OnSale. In the twelve months ended December 31, 2010, PC Mall generated $1.4 billion in revenue. It has over 2,600 employees.
Craig-Hallum Capital Group acted as the exclusive mergers and acquisitions advisor for PFSweb on the transaction.
