Google Shopping, aka Google Product Search, is expanding in three European countries. Google is launching its shopping search engine in Spain, Italy and the Netherlands later this year and has opened Google Merchant Center this month to give merchants time to submit their product feeds.

Google Merchant Center, formerly called Google Base, lets merchants upload feeds of their products for exposure on Google and Google Shopping search results at no charge.

Existing Merchant Center users now have the option to select Spain, Italy and the Netherlands from the target country drop-down menu when registering their feeds in the Merchant Center so their products appear in relevant Shopping results on Google.es, Google.nl, and Google.it. Data requirements differ by country, so check the data feed specifications for all countries in your native language by using the drop-down box on the top of the Data Feed Specification help article.
