Bedier helped open the PayPal platform to developers 2 years ago. Bedier started at PayPal in 2003 as an engineer and spent years championing the idea of an open platform until he was promoted and given the resources to make it happen. Bedier was PayPal Vice President of Mobile, Platform and New Ventures, and it will be interesting to see what role he assumes at Google, which is focused on mobile and local and offers its own payment processing service, Google Checkout. |
