Bonanza closed a $1 million round of investment in the spring led by Seattle angel investor Mr. Entress with participation from Voyager Capital, Matrix Partners, Ignition Partners, Founders Co-op, Curious Office and other Seattle angel investors. Since raising the funding, Bonanza changed its name (from Bonanzle), acquired artisan marketplace 1000 Markets, and launched a specialty site for handbags (BagsBonanza). The company is up against Apptio, Cequint, Jambool, Picnik and Precision Polling for the Flashies award - the winner is chosen by online voting and will be announced on December 1st at the awards ceremony. Other categories include tech innovation of the year, tech debacle of the year, and buzzword of the year, including App, Check-in, Cloud, Fail, Gamification/Game-ification, Hyperlocal, Privacy and Social Media. |
