Etsy announced its Item listing pages will go to a wider format in a redesign to make the pages more inviting to shoppers. Only a small percentage of visitors will see the new wide listing pages at first, beginning on Wednesday, and soon all visitors wil see the wider pages. Those who are curious can preview the new design live by appending ?listing_wide=2 to any listing page URL - for example, Etsy said, http://www.etsy.com/listing/57466987/teak-fox-sculpture?listing_wide=2.

The new listing pages feature larger images - 570 pixels wide by default. There's also a new Favorites button next to the big new Add to Cart button. Shipping details and other item-specific information have been given a clean new look, and there is a larger area for additional items from the shop.
