Bonanzle Users: Get Ready for New Bonanza URLs

Bonanzle sellers will not have to worry that links they've posted to their listings and stores using the Bonanzle domain name will break, at least for the indefinite future. Bonanzle announced last week it was changing its name to Bonanza, and on Monday it alerted users that it would soon begin automatically redirecting Bonanzle.com URLs to corresponding Bonanza.com URLs.

The redirect will mean visitors to a URL such as www.bonanzle.com/mybooth will be sent to www.bonanza.com/mybooth instead, which hosts the same content and listings as appeared on the Bonanzle site..

Bonanza told sellers that nothing will break, and there is no time table to turn it off, so links to Bonanzle will continue to redirect automatically "for a long time." Bonanza told users, "Eventually it would be nice if you changed any site or blog links to the new URL as this is better for search engine ranking, but nothing will break. Your old Bonanzle.com links will simply redirect to the new ones."

Bonanza has set up an FAQ for users who are dealing with the transition.
