MoneyPak allows customers to pay anyone that accepts PayPal without the need to provide credit card or bank account information. Consumers can purchase MoneyPak cards from the prepaid section at thousands of retailers, which charge a service fee of up to $4.95. Consumers can then log in to Paypal and add funds - once the transfer is complete, funds are instantly available to shop anywhere PayPal is accepted, including eBay. The starting limit is $250 a year, but can be expanded up to $2,000 a month by providing a name, address, date of birth, and Social Security online. According to PayPal, Green Dot will collect, verify, and record this information on behalf of PayPal, but this information will not be used for a credit check or marketing purposes. Promotion details are available on the PayPal blog. |
