The feature is a result of Etsy's acquisition last year of Adtuitive, a contextual advertising service that matched retailers' inventory with content sites. Etsy said the Suggested Shops feature is a first step toward a more personalized Etsy experience, and said there would be more to come. The timing of the announcement is somewhat ironic, as eBay announced on the same day it was eliminating a signpost leading its shoppers to eBay Stores. |
