Magento will offer PayPal to online retailers through its open-source shopping solutions later this year. Magento will integrate PayPal and will promote the online payment service to its merchants and developers. PayPal and Magento have agreed to co-market their services and will collaborate on product development. Magento Community is an open source solution offered to developers at no charge; Magento Enterprise pricing starts at $11,125/year. Osama Bedier, PayPal's Vice President of platform and emerging technology, said, "We believe that Magento's and PayPal's services are ideal for merchants looking for a faster, more cost-effective way to do business online." |
