Etsy announced a program in which it will fund Etsy Teams to help with their promotional activity. Etsy Teams are groups of organized Etsy members who network and promote their shops and Etsy together. A Team of sellers may form around a shared location, crafting medium or other interest, and there are over 450 Teams.

This week Etsy launched new program called Etsy Team Grants designed to help Teams with Etsy promotions and financial resources. The monthly funding will help Teams represent themselves at craft fairs, art shows or other local events, help subsidize team advertising or take part in other opportunities.

Etsy has a budget for hundreds of Etsy Teams and will review applications monthly. Team members must document the promotion with photos, blog entries or video.

More information about the program is available on the Etsy website.
