Etsy Sales Rose 103% in November, Traffic up 66%

Etsy reported a 103% increase in gross merchandise volume (the value of goods sold on its site) to $21.9 million in November 2009 compared to November 2008. That figure was up 24% from October 2009. New members were up 82% year-over-year, and page views were up 66%.

The company recently announced that founder Rob Kalin will be stepping back into the role of CEO, replacing Maria Thomas who is leaving the company. The online marketplace also said it was opening an office in Berlin to focus on international expansion.
