Electronics items, and video games in particular, are leading the list of most sought-after gifts by holiday shoppers this year, according to tracking data unveiled by price comparison shopping site Sortprice.com. Sortprice.com tracked and collected data on thousands of products and product categories based on user visits and searches to its site during the week of Cyber Monday through Tuesday, December 8th in order to compile the following list of the most sought-after items thus far in the holiday shopping season:

Playstation 3 Console
Ipod Touch
Zhu Zhu Pets
Garmen Nuvi 255w GPS
Nintendo Wii console
Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital Camera
Lego Star Wars
UGG Classic Short Women's Boots
Beatles Rock Band
Transformers Action Figures

"Thanks to the popularity of so many new technologies, as well as the staggering selection of products available, electronics items are once again being targeted by holiday shoppers more than any other," said Doron Simovitch, Sortprice.com cofounder and CEO, who also noted that as expected, toys and games are a close second to electronics in terms of consumer popularity.

Sortprice.com will continue to monitor and track consumer trends this holiday shopping season through the New Year at the Sortprice.com Holiday Gift guide.
