Summary:
Boocoo Auctions launched in mid-2010, and this is its first year making it into the Sellers Choice Awards, coming in sixth place with an overall rating of 6.5. A number of respondents commented on the site's good customer service, but, like other new sites, there were many complaints about low traffic and poor sales.

The site's owner, Ranger Data Technologies, has exclusive deals with newspapers around the country that advertise BooCoo Auctions, but a number of respondents said the site has yet to gain name-recognition among buyers.

"Easy to use and low fees," wrote one respondent. "The only problem with this site is that there is no traffic at all. Auctions need lots of users in order to work well and this site just doesn't have that user base yet."

Reader Comments - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly:
Love this site, easy to list, great customer service, have only been selling there for about 6 months but am very pleased.
***
Easy site to use, excellent customer service, listens to both buyers and sellers and is FAIR!
***
Boocoo has gotten MUCH better since when they 1st started... They were a disaster when they first launched but have come a long way since then and make a very genuine effort to improve the site as they go. Their Customer Service is EXCEPTIONAL to say the least.
***
The staff at BOOCOO is just great at explaining how and why you should sell your merchandise on their site. They are very knowledgeable, patient and polite.
***
This is the easiest site to work with. Customer service is above and beyond what you get nowadays. The ease of listing items is a plus, and a great format. They do so much to help you sell. List as much as you can, their fees are so reasonable. I cannot compliment this site enough and would hope that everyone would try boocoo, they will be hooked and never look back. I hope this site continues to grow so that it can be the only site I need to use. No other site comes close - it is actually fun to sell on boocoo and feel like they care.
***
Their support staff is fantastic dedicated and professional.
***
It is more seller orientated & has a very friendly staff & good advertisement.
***
I've just started selling on Boocoo the end of October so my sells haven't been booming as of yet. Boocoo is fairly new. They have a great way of advertising your items to the public. They randomly choose items to be featured in newspaper publications. Their customer service is just fantastic. When you call, they pick-up on the first ring. When you email them, they are quick to respond. They listen to their sellers as to what the sellers need or want, and will update/include that in their website for the seller. I hope they NEVER change the way they think about their sellers. Some auction sites could take a lesson from them!!

I like BOOCOO and have sold some things but I still have a lot of things on and for the time I have been with Boocoo I was hoping to sell more, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or people just are not buying.
***
I have made some sales, not a lot. However, their site is very easy to navigate and their fees are very low and reasonable.
***
Nice people, great concept. zero sales.
***
A bit unknown yet. One to watch and give a chance. But if you want immediate sales depending on what you sell, there are other places that will turn a profit and that IS the bottom line when you are looking for a place to sell.
***
I love no insertion fee's, I certianly list things that surprisingly sell that I normally would not. However I dislike their sales buttons, they are difficult to see and determine what steps I need to take. And it is difficult to relist an item that a buyer never paid for. I have had several "customers" try to scam me through Boocoo.
***
Fees are so low on boocoo. Personal customer service, but site isnt big enough for 24/7 personal support. super easy to use and if you have a ton to list, just ask boocoo, they will do your listing for you! Can't top that. ----------------------------
***
Boocoo's ebay import program doesn't exist for an individual seller's use yet and the program they use for you doesn't support ebay's shipping calculator, which means I would have to make manual changes to thousands of listings to add the shipping. I won't be doing that so I'm finished with them until they fix this.
***
BooCoo has not been profitable in the past. They do advertise and show items in newspapers which at least brings in buyers.
***
No sales, no traffic, relatively unknown site to buyers.
***
I think BooCoo must advertise online and in other traditional ways such as radio / TV ads. The newspaper ads they claim to use are not bringing in sales. Potential customers have not heard of BooCoo and cannot browse there when shopping.
***
Nothing sold and no one ever saw the items - no views.
***
It was hard to list here.....I don't like sites that don't have a shipping calculator. This site was confusing to me.
***
Not enough traffic - it seems very few people have ever heard of them - very slow - I have stopped selling there.
***
I listed on boocoo at first but got disenchanted. Not happy with the homepage layout always geared to "local listings". I can't understand the rationale of an online venue emphasizing local items. When they started charging fees, I closed my account there.
***
Very few listings, even fewer views when listing items. In spite of marketing efforts, just isn't gaining traction.
***
Just not near enough people viewing the site. Anything I have sold I probably lost money on. I know they try but just not enough hits on the site.
***
I have listed on boocoo since the beginning and have not sold a thing. I have totally given up, my new items do not even get views the last time I tried. They need to advertise.
***
Started out with a big PR splash, dropped the ball. I never sold anything there and quit listing when they wanted to charge me. Never went back. I have not seen them mentioned anywhere since.
***
Final Value Fee of 6% makes it hard to be competitive with prices.
