eBay Runs 11-Day October Free-Listing Promotion

Email This Story to a Friend

eBay is running a free-listing promotion, allowing sellers to list up to 200,000 auction listings and pay no insertion fees. The promotion also allows sellers to add the Gallery Plus feature to those listings during the promotion. But some sellers are out of luck - the promotion is by invitation only.

Auction and auction-style with Buy It Now format are included, as are 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10-day listing durations (10-day auction-style listings will not be charged an insertion fee, but will continue to be subject to the listing upgrade fee). The promotion is in addition to the free insertions sellers receive each month.

Sellers who are invited to participate will have received an email or a message in My eBay. The promotion is activated with the seller's qualifying eBay User ID and is not transferable.

The free-listing promotion runs October 16 - 26, 2013. Note that one seller noted in the discussion boards that she had missed the last promotion invitation email because the subject line of the message did not indicate it was a free listing promotion invitation, and she advised others to check their messages carefully. The current invitation has a subject line, "Make Room For Fall."

All existing selling limits as well as category and item limits apply and may exclude sellers from creating the maximum number of listings in the promotion. All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions.
