eBay UK Runs Listing Promotion for Casual Sellers
By Ina Steiner
eBay UK is running a promotion for private (casual) sellers that runs through January 1st. The promotion kicked off the day after Christmas, which is known as Boxing Day in the UK, and lets private sellers list up to 100 auctions in eligible categories and incur no listing fees.
Only items listed on eBay.co.uk using the Auction-style or Auction-style with Buy It Now option formats in an eligible category with a starting price of 1 pound or more are included. Listings using the Auction-style with Buy It Now format will be charged the Listing Upgrade Fee for Buy It Now.
Items listed with a Reserve Price are excluded from the promotion.
Sellers must be registered as resident in the UK in order to qualify, and must list items with either the eBay Mobile applications, Quick Sell or Advanced Sell (Sell Your Item) forms. Items listed using professional tools, such as Turbo Lister and Selling Manager Pro, are excluded.
Sellers with restrictions may only list in accordance with their limits. Once a seller has reached the maximum limit of 100 listings, any further items listed during the promotion period will be charged standard Insertion Fees according to the eBay Insertion Fees Policy.
Sellers who registered after March 15, 2011, or have not listed any items for a while may have a listing allowance of 10 items per month or of 650 pounds per month.
All other fees apply, see eBay UK website for details.
