You'll find the "My First Lab Stargazer Telescope" on Amazon.com's list of popular toys for the 2012 holiday shopping season, but you won't find it anyplace else. That's because it's available exclusively on Amazon's own marketplace.

Amazon.com published its annual Holiday Toy List on Thursday "featuring hundreds of this year's most popular and top rated toys, books, video games, electronics, movies, sporting goods and more."

The marketplace also launched a promotion in which it will offer Lightning Deals every day through November 18 on items featured on the Holiday Toy List. Deals are available until the promotion period expires or all items are claimed.

Amazon offers exclusive toys such as the My First Lab Stargazer Telescope and the Begin Again Eco-Friendly on The Go Travel Kit.

Most retailers are now looking for exclusives, according to a recent report in Reuters, which said toymakers such as Mattel work closely with large retailers including Target, Toys R Us, Walmart and Amazon.

Most of the items on Amazon's Holiday Toy List are eligible for free Super Saver Shipping or free Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime.

"The Amazon Holiday Toy List page is a one stop destination for easily discovering hot toys and purchasing them at great prices, all from the comfort of home," said John Alteio, director of Toys & Games for Amazon.com. "This year, we are making shopping for toys on Amazon even better by offering popular items at very low prices, through our Lightning Deals."
