eBay launched a new simplified way to list items for sale in the fashion category on eBay.com, and in England, it created a pilot program for business sellers in the Home & Garden category. The Simplified Selling Experience lets sellers list items in eBay.com fashion categories in just four steps. First, they fill out information about what they're selling, next, they take a photo of the item, then they set the price and select a shipping option, and in the fourth and last step, they list the item.
eBay set up a special page at eBay.com/SellingStyle to encourage fashionistas to clean out their closets and list items on eBay and introduced the Chic Squad - "a team of sartorially-savvy experts who inspire selling on eBay," led by celebrity and fashion stylist Brad Goreski. The Chic Squad offers advice on what to sell and how to sell and, this summer, is hitting the road with the Selling Style Studio, an interactive pop-up experience giving people a personalized opportunity to learn how to sell. Attendees are invited to bring a top selling item - like new or gently worn handbags, shoes, sunglasses, denim and dresses - to script, shoot, price and list. A member of the Chic Squad will be on hand to share expert selling advice and help attendees cash in on their fashion. The tour kicks off in New York tomorrow and travels to Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco. Meanwhile eBay UK announced the eBay Accelerated Growth pilot program for business sellers in the Home & Garden category. "We've developed a comprehensive package of support to get you up and running quickly on eBay.co.uk and to help you grow your eBay business over the coming months," the company told sellers. Highlights of the Accelerated Growth program include:
The invitation only program is for UK business sellers with a PayPal account who sell primarily in the Home & Garden category and who have annual sales of at least 2 million pounds and/or currently sell at least 200,000 pounds online. Learn more on the eBay UK website. |
