eBay is trying to entice sellers to list during the prime holiday shopping season and is encouraging them to list with quick turnaround and free expedited shipping. By encouraging shorter-duration auction listings, it makes more inventory available to shoppers looking to receive their items in time for Christmas. This week's promotion runs December 6 - 8 and applies to listings on eBay.com, eBay Motors Parts & Accessories and eBay Canada. Most categories are included, and the promotion applies to both eBay Stores subscribers and sellers who do not have an eBay Stores subscription. Note that sellers without a Store subscription who list an item with a 7-day duration during the promotion will count as one of the 50 free listings eBay gives them each month. All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions. |

eBay is running a 3-day promotion in which sellers can list up to 5,000 auction listings without incurring listing fees - but there's a small catch. The promotion applies only for auctions with a 1-, 3-, or 5-day duration; typically sellers list auctions for 7 days. On the plus side, sellers can add the Buy It Now (BIN) option to the free auction listings for no additional charge.
