eBay Holds Twitter Party to Attract Holiday Shoppers
By Ina Steiner
eBay is extending its holiday marketing campaign to include an event on social networking site Twitter, where it will host a chat about holiday gifting. The eBay Holiday Party takes place between 9 am - 4 pm PST on Monday, November 21.
eBay will give away a $100 gift card each hour during the chat and is using the Bumebox.com platform to host the event.
Users can go to eBay.com/holidayparty and join the chat by using the Twitter hashtag #eBayHoliday. Each hour will be devoted to a specific category - for example, the chat will focus on "eBay Toys" from 9 - 10 am, and will focus on "eBay Fashion" from 10 - 11 am.
In order for a chance to win one of seven $100 eBay gift cards, users must follow @eBay on Twitter, must attend the eBay Holiday Twitter Party at eBay.com/HolidayParty, and must participate in the conversation during the event by tweeting, including the hashtag #eBayHoliday. Winners must have or create a PayPal account in order to receive, access, and use the gift card. Full terms are available on the eBay Holiday Twitter Party Sweepstakes Official Rules page.
