eBay Glitch Affects Buyer's Ability to See Images

Buyers shopping on eBay are having difficulty viewing images in search results and on View Item pages. eBay said it was aware of the issue and was working to resolve the glitch as quickly as possible.

Some images are slow to load on the View Item Page, and some gallery images are not appearing on search results pages - eBay said they were taking longer than normal to appear.

Sellers began reporting problems uploading photos on Tuesday, and eBay wrote Wednesday that "images may also be slow to upload in the Sell Your Item form."

Additional sellers had begun posting about a problem uploading photos on Sunday, and a problem with gallery images at about 10 am Pacific time on Thursday. eBay posted an announcement about the problem on its systems announcement board at 1:29 pm Pacific time on Thursday.

An EcommerceBytes reader said in the categories on eBay in which she keeps track of, all have at least 30 percent missing images in search. "There is no way these sellers are going to do any business when the initial picture can't be seen. Some are 6-8 missing in a row on a particular item."
