Addoway Launches Social Shopping Rewards Program

Addoway launched a rewards program that allows shoppers on Addoway to earn "Addo Bucks" for sharing deals with their friends on social networks. Addoway is an online "social shopping" marketplace that helps people buy and sell with their friends and with favorite merchants.

Addo Bucks can be used towards purchases on Addoway or can be redeemed for free gift cards from retailers such as Starbucks and Best Buy. Shoppers can also use Addo Bucks to enter limited-entry private giveaways of prizes such as an Apple iPad or Nintendo Wii.

Addoway also announced it has made upgrades to its platform to help merchants build their Facebook Fan base by allowing merchants to reward shoppers with exclusive discounts and other deals only available to fans of their pages, which shoppers can "like" directly from within the Addoway platform.

Addoway CEO Fredrick Nijm said shoppers referred from social networks are eight times more likely to make a purchase than those referred from comparison shopping engines. "It only makes sense to give our merchants more and more ways to reward shoppers for sharing their positive experiences with their friends," he said.
