PayPal Readies Improvements for January 21st Release

PayPal is launching several new features for developers scheduled for release on January 21. Last week, the company released the enhancements in the PayPal Preview Sandbox environment so developers could preview them before they go live. New features include:

• Improvements to the Button Factory API, which will allow websites to list and sell digital downloads by integrating digital download keys into "buy now" or "add to cart" buttons and the checkout flow.
  
  
• Updates to Mass Payments will now include support for CSV file formats and provide more information to the sender to increase operational efficiency.
  
  
• Improvements to the refund process that will make the refund process more transparent.
  
  
• Inclusion of original merchant invoice or order ID number in PayPal Settlement Reports to help ensure better reconciliation for merchants.
