eBay Begins Exposing Sellers to New Item Pages
By Ina Steiner
Beginning next week, eBay will expose sellers to the new Item page when viewing their own listings. This will give sellers an opportunity to see the new page before eBay begins showing it to more buyers this summer. Sellers will be able to compare the new Item page design with the previous design by clicking the "View in previous version" link top right of the page.
The new eBay item page includes a real-time countdown timer for Auction-style listings and bigger photos. In addition, the new page displays a seller's relevant listings on other sellers' Item pages, and vice versa. eBay said sellers may opt out of this cross-merchandising feature.
